MacLehose Trail

The MacLehose Trail is the first hiking trail in Hong Kong and the longest trail. It was officially opened in 1979 and was named after the Governor of Hong Kong Sir MacLehose. The total length of MacLehose Trail is 100km and is divided into ten sections. It runs from Sai Kung in the east of Hong Kong across the New Territories and Kowloon to Tuen Mun in the west, passing through eight country parks on the way. The difficulty of each section of the MacLehose Trail is different. There are concrete roads suitable for supporting the old and young, hiking trails of different slopes, ancient trails that love to travel through the jungle, and ladders that test endurance. The scenery is diverse and many Hong Kong mountain races are all raced on the MacLehose track.

And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulation worketh patience; And patience, experience; and experience, hope: And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us.

Romans 5:3-5
